Green Initiative
At Battery World, we are committed to doing our part to help keep the planet green and eco-friendly. We currently only sell environmentally conscious manufacturers who partner with the Rechargeable Battery Recyling Corporation (RBRC) and bear the Call2Recycle seal on all their rechargeable products. The RBRC "is a non-profit, public service organization dedicated to rechargeable battery recycling. Founded by the rechargeable battery industry in 1994, RBRC’s mission is to promote the recycling of used rechargeable batteries found in many cordless electronic consumer products such as, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, cordless power tools, camcorders, and two-way radios."

Battery Disposal
The proper disposal of your rechargeable batteries is not only highly encouraged by Battery World, but in some states its the law. The steps to recycle your rechargeable battery are easy:

1. Round up all your dead rechargeable batteries from your old cell phones, digital cameras, laptops, AA/AAA's, etc
2. Find the recycling location nearest you and drop off your used rechargeable batteries. Click here to find your nearest location.
3. Go home and feel good about your contribution to saving the planet!

The Greenest of the Green
More than 98% of our batteries are rechargeable and therefore "Green" by nature - One AA rechargeable battery is equivalent to 1,000 Alkalines. We have taken things one step further with a line of rechargeable solar powered products. Perfect for campers, hikers, and the environmentally conscious, the popularity of our solar category continues to grow.
